Dojo Loach Trouble

Ok so I've had my dojo loach for four years now since he (she?) was a baby with no problems. He is kept in a 20g with ghost shrimp, zebra and leopard danio, and african dwarf frogs. The ghost shrimps are a relatively new addition being added about three months ago. Well he's been hiding a lot lately and today he comes out to eat and I see this huge sore on his side. I'm worried. I don't know what to do. I have separated him to an isolation tank and he seems tone doing fine but I wanted to know if this is injury or fungal or parasitic and how to go from here. It looks like he's swum into something in the tank & its punctured him, as long as it's showing no sign of infection then good clean water should help it heal.
I don't know if you can get melafix there but if so it'll help keep infection at bay.

I do have some melafix somewhere. Thank you very much. I panicked cause this has never happened to him before
