Today we switched a second tank over to LED lighting. So far we are happy, and the plants seem to respond better to them. We are using Marineland single brights. There are two on the 44 pent.

Has your experience continued to be positive with respect to your plant growth?

So far yes. With the emergency presented by the leaking 44 I have not had the time to photograph the new set ups. The plants seem to really like the LEDs. I have lost a couple of the newer plants but all the rest seem to be doing quite well. These are available light at low shutter speed. So the fish that are moving will be a bit blurred.

    1. The leaker 44. you can see the leak at the lower right of the front glass.

    2. The rescue tank for the 44.

    3. Sunhawks tank.

I moved to LEDs in one of my tanks, I need to purchase them for my 55 and my 5 gallon. I just love LED lighting. You can see everything so much more clearly, and I think it's more natural looking lighting.

I too find that I like the light better than the florescent light.

Do you notice your fish acting any differently?

Led lighting in my experience has not had an effect on my fishes behavior. I have eleven of the Marineland double bright over various tanks in my fishroom.

I notice no change in behavior.

Cool thanks! I just wondered if the brighter lights made them hide more.

No change in behavior here, either.
