Dogs Anyone?

I know there are some dog lovers out there, let’s hear from some!

Lately, I rewatched an old favorite movie of mine, which is Bolt, from ‘08.
It’s a movie about a girl, and her white german shepherd dog who saves her from the dangers she is in.
Well, that cartoon movie dog made me love dogs even more, and makes me want a dog of my own.

I want to look forward to getting a dog in my adulthood.
I am planning on a (Canis Lupus Familiaris) or the White German Shepherd. It’s just that they are so attractive, and I can totally see a handsom guy like me owning one of those beasts.
Do any of you guys have a shepherd?

I realize they get bad hip dysplasia, which is a downfall, but it doesn’t stop me one bit.

Well, it did come out ten years ago, making me six at the time.
I love it so much, currently watching it right now, it’s addictive.
I fall in love with bolt, his character, attitude, and looks.

My dog MitzI is a miniature schnauzer. Our first family dog. One of her hobbies is sitting on top of the couch so she can be closer to my big tank. She loves watching the little fishies. That’s her on my picture.

I liked Old Yeller, and many other dog movies, especially The Buddies.
Yes, I am still a little child at heart, I like kid movies

I used to be obsessed with the Buddies movies! I loved the original and the space one. But when I was 8, I had nightmares about the mastiff in Spooky Buddies for 3 days... feel free to laugh

ops: so did I...
I watched them all, but the halloween one got me for a day.
What makes me sad about bolt, is that he doesn’t get to experience to real dog experience all his life, that’s why the end makes you happy

Wow, we think alike!
I know the movie by heart now, so I won’t watch it for a while.
Occasionally, I go through these odd phases where I crave and adore certain things, like this movie

I love dogs, though after looking after some recently, I am more of a cat person.

A) Dogs smell
B) They don't bury their poop
C) Higher maintenance (trimming, more hair, walks etc.)
D) They invade your personal space

I don't know if I can handle dogs.

Here’s a response to your reasons

A) Dogs smell
I can totally help that, bathing weekly, and spot cleanings after every visit to the outdoors.

B) They don’t bury their poop
It’s their way of making you work to earn them
Plus, I actually would enjoy the work.

D) They invade your personal space
Yep, they sure do. I don’t mind it as long as it’s not a person.

They are wonderful, very loyal companions.
Besides, cats don’t love people more than dogs, joking

Growing up with two minI pins and a beagle mix, I don’t mind the doggy smell. And having owned both cats and dogs, I don’t find dogs to be invasive. Cats, on the other hand, can be annoying, especially when they really want to get your attetion. Dogs just want to cuddle and sleep.

Like when you think your cat wants to cuddle, and you end up with a sliced face?

Oh yeah, totally experienced that. Also experienced the butt in the face and constant meowing and door scratching when you’re trying to sleep, lol. And when the cat does cuddle and sleep on your lap, I hate it. Gets all prissy and bitey when you have to move her. Dogs are just so much nicer, haha.

Dogs are loyal. It was explained to me this way: put your wife and your dog in the trunk of your car. Come back 2 hours later and open it up. Only one of them will be happy to see you

My old neighbors had three of them, they aren’t the most common dog around, but they certainly are obtainable.
I love them for how loyal and caring they are. Those dogs also know a lot of things that you aren’t noticing and will actually warn you if danger is near.

Theyre not very rare here in china but are still not that common. Theres one in my complex and one at the fish market and I usually see a couple at the park across the road.

Ive been looking to get one for a while now so hopefully the breeder has one my baby likes when I get the chance to go there.

I used to own a White German Shepard. Beautiful dog. Be prepared to vacuum fur a lot and have it look like you didn't. She was awesome though. Loyal, friendly, and an excellent judge of character. She only snarled at 2 people I knew, both turned out to be dirtbags. She was the test, if she liked you, you were ok with me. If not, you had to go.

I have no clue what the Sandlot is, but I have an English Mastiff, her name is daisy and to be honest, she is a wimp (she is afraid of "the vacuum", she thinks it's gonna suck her up and she fears the shiny floor, she literally will not cross the middle of the hard wood floor even for a whole chicken and she will pee if you try and make her). English Mastiffs have short life spands and tend to be lazy so when they get old you have to like force them to go out side. She is a wonderful dog though and has been lots of fun.

Border collies are great dogs but they are working dogs so if you don't train them and give them something to do then they will get into lots of trouble, they are fun though.
