Dog Leg amputation

We’re in a hard situation right now where my dog may have to have her front right leg amputated. Could anyone give me some tips on how to help her get back on her feet after the operation? Also, please send me pics of three legged dogs having a good time. You don’t have to know them, I just need to remember that she can still be happy after this

Awwwww sorry to hear.

I think you will be amazed how dogs adapt to the new situation and also how joyful their life can and will be afterwards.

Good luck !!!

My boy Rufus had cancer. People said to kill him and get a puppy. I asked them if they would do that to one of their two legged children.... It was very hard for us to find the money to take his leg.

He lived another two years when the cancer won.....I would have sold my Harley if needed.... Every time I look at all of the photos I have taken of him I cry....

Love your little one and spend as much time as you can with her.

Animals unlike people never feel sorry for themselves.
I am sorry you are going through this .
Keep your head up and love her like she loves you .
Your dog will overcome this faster and better then any human ever could IMO .
Best of luck and prayers for your dog .

My heart goes out to you and your dog! I know this must be so difficult but keep in mind that one of the most amazing things about dogs is their resilience and their ability to adapt and thrive! A friend of mine at work had a dog that had to have a leg amputated and she did really well, she adjusted to her new reality way faster than he did from what he told me. Hang in there, hope you know how much support you have here! Take care and keep us posted!

This video may help you find some reassurance, not only are there 3 legged dogs, there is a 2 legged one as well, made me smile!
