Does this look like a good betta home?

Just wanted to share my progress. I couldn't setup a 5 gallon like I had planned for a betta but I did get a 3g. I added some plants today and I think it's coming along. I'm awaiting a heater before I get the fish.

Thoughts? Does this look like a good betta home?

Looks great, a good cave to sleep in and some tall broad leaves to hide or rest in!

That actually looks great. Hope you're not thinking of adding any other fish though!

Thanks superbutterfly12 and TheKiwi. There was a slight miscommunication on my part... when I said "fish" I meant the betta fish I will be homing in the tank. If I do add anything else it might be a snail... but who knows.

A nerite snail would be a great choice! They're pretty to look at, active, and does a of a job at cleaning up algae

TheKiwi, yeah, I actually have 2 nerite snails at the moment in my 10 gallon tank. Although they poop a lot... best addition I've ever done! They have certainly fixed my brown algae problem.

If you can find them I think two or 3 bumblebee nerites would be a cute addition to a little tank like that. Have fun picking out your betta!

Add some shrimp if you want! They are very active! And the betta may not eat them lol

I don't like how shrimp look. Lol. I have seen some and they are interesting. Although... Not sure if I'm a "shrimp person."

They do look like bugs...for some reason I'm ok with that in the fish tank. They wig me out though when netting them to move them

lol what's weird about them? They are so CUTE when they eat brine shrimp and other food. They take each other's food and show their little claws like they are all big and mighty!

Lol I am serious! Maybe I will get a video of them "fighting" over the brine shrimp.
