Does my oscar have hole in the head?

HI all, not sure if I'm just being paranoid since hearing about this disease but I feel like my 3 inch oscar may have hole in the head but I cannot really tell myself.

Whats lead me to believe he has it are the dots above his eye and the greyish area on his head, my research has lead me to believe (I could be completely wrong) that these are signs of hole in head.

My water parameters are all in check being the standard 0/0/20, tank is at 26 degrees celsius (I think that's 79 degrees fahrenheit). The staff member at my local fish store said the disease is caused by feeding too much protein and not enough vitamins. My oscar eats diced up fish fillet maybe 3 times a week as a small meal in his day but is fed on mostly standard aqua one cichlid pellets. What are some good ways to get vitamins into his diet if this really is a cause of hole in the head?

Any help on identifying this and if need be, treating it would be very much appreciated thank you!

That Mark on his head is intriguing, but HOTH usually starts with a white spot. It looks similar to a white head pimple

The mark on his head could be from bashing into the rock and driftwood that's in his tank right now as he likes to chase the golden panchax that are in his grow out tank right now. Whats really concerning me are the dots above his eye. Are they signs of HOTH?

No I don't see an thing that looks like HITH. If those are injures they don't look infected and appear to be healing just fine

I will take your word for it! Thank you

Do you have any idea on how to get vitamins into his diet though? He rejects veges unless he's completely starving.

Oscars are carnivores. He's not gonna want vegetables. Have you given him guppies or gold fish?

Did feed him gudgeons at one stage but have decided against giving him further feeders from fish stores. He eats diced fillets and red cherry shrimp that I have accidentally bred. I was under the impression that oscars were omnivorous and were supposed to have a bit of green in their diets, I could be mistaken.

I may be wrong about that. I give kelp wafers, but not many of my fish eat them. You could try that.

I would use a better quality pellet than the ones you are using. Hikari, Omega one, New life spectrum and New era are all better than those. That looks more like a scrap than hith.

They will eat an occasional piece of fruit, but not veggies. Mostly, if it crunches, it's Oscar food. Crayfish, shrimp (great use of excess Cherry shrimp), smaller snails, insects, are all good Oscar food. I think floating pellets are not so good as sinkers. Floaters have air in them, and Oscars are greedy eaters, so they can ingest too much air.
