He lives in a 5 gallon cycled tank.
Temperature usually is between 79-81.
I Usually do 1-2 Water changes a week. Each one being anywhere from 25-35%.

He is a very active betta, this morning he was being lethargic/sitting at the bottom of the tank. His dorsal fin seems to be clamped aswell.
As of writing this post he is more active but his dorsal fin is still clamped.
He does eat normally, and seems to be scavenging the tank for any snacks.

Have you noticed any itching behavior? Rubbing on things, flashing?

Could you get a picture without the flash so I can compare the two? It looks like normal coloring as far as I can tell.

How old is he?

No not really, he swims against the front glass and the tip of his mouth is the only thing that touches the glass.
Ok, My seller stated he was 2 month old. I've had him for 1 month. He seems like a reputable seller.
Am I just overreacting?

What are the parameters? ph, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate
Ammonia:0PPM
Nitrite:0PPM
Nitrate: 15PPM
My PH which is more stable did seem to decrease slightly. Was 7.4 and is around 7.0.

I don't think you are over-reacting. There could be something going on. I would do daily water changes 25-30% daily and see if that helps. Maybe try fasting for 24 hours and feed a deshelled pea. If it is an intestinal issue, that should clear him out.

I don't think it is velvet at all. I think something else is brewing.

Daphnia is also a great idea along with wut AllieSten mentioned as it can act like a laxative also.

Not velvet, I don't think...maybe constipation/ swim bladder disorder? Does he have a hard time swimming, like, does he just dart up for air then sink back down?
Try daily water changes as others have said, fast him for 2 days and see how he's doing.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Yes, it was just constipation .
He is his usual energetic self today. I was just worried since I've never seen him so lethargic.
