Does my betta have stress stripes?

I was wondering if my female betta has stress stripes. I’ve noticed that she has this dark blue-ish horizontal stripes down her body and I’ve read that it’s probably stress stripes. I bought her home two days ago so I guess it would be understandable if it was stress from the new environment. I live in a tropical area so the temperature in this room is naturally around 26°C all year round so I didn’t get a heater, other than that my betta has been eating well, swimming all about the tank and even swimming up to me when I’m at the tank. (The tank is a 5 gallon tank and there’s loads of plants and areas where she can hide in. The water quality is also quite good)Can someone confirm if it’s stress stripes?

Those are stress stripes, but if she's new they'll probably go away once she's settled.

May be that the light being on is the cause. My betta often shows stress stripes from the light after it had been on for an hour or two....he just doesn't like that thing! He also not a fan of water changes...

Oh right! Good idea I’ll turn the light off to see if it helps, maybe I’ll do something so the light isn’t as bright and ‘in your face’.

Oh wait… it was the light 0-0 I turned it off not even a minute and I come back to see that her stripes are almost completely gone. This has helped so much, thank you!

Just wanted to add that white substrate can also stress fish out because it reflects a lot of light. It's often too bright for fish and their colors become dull because of the stress.

Update! Her stress stripes are gone!! I’m so glad, thanks for all the help from everyone ☺️ This is how she looks now. I found out that a big part of the reason why is because of the light. Just to make sure, I turned on the light just now and within a minute her stripes started appearing and so I turned it back off and she’s back to normal now.
