Yeah I vote nerite snail eggs, that line of eggs on the bottom looks especially nerite-ish to me.

Nope I need to get a new filter because the one I have now isn’t working great. Could it be a type of algae?

I'm guessing the African Cichlid is a Jewel Cichlid, as those eggs would not have come from any Rift Lake species. The eggs are turning white because they are infertile; this is usual with a single fish laying eggs.

No question, however, that those are Cichlid eggs.
