I'd take the Jeep
I drive a Jeep Cherokee and Pontiac Grand Prix. Hubby has a JC, Monte Carlo, and Monte SS. My son drives a Monte.
We just sold the 80s Camaro and 79 Buick Regal.
(Ps, yes I know, Olds Cutlass Supreme is GM, not Chevy, haha)

Thankfully, the global automotive market disagrees with you. ;D

NISSAN all the way!

Though, out of the three... Ford with Dodge a very close second. I like the Challenger's looks better than the current Mustang. The Camaro is over the top.

Dodge needs to bring back the Barracuda. Mmm...

Totally agree. I've heard whispers of it...but its all rumor at this point.

I want a Challenger so bad. Best looking sports car on the road today IMO. Would be awesome if they could mix the HemI with a hybrid type (economy friendly) of engine....won't happen but would be nice to still have that HemI power and sound but go 300 miles on one tank of gas lol.

The barracuda (cuda) was made by Plymouth the challenger was dodge they were both made by Chrysler, they were both pretty much the same car just different badges.

My favorite muscle car never the less!

My parents have owned Chevies and fords. The fords were better built. If I were to pick a muscle car, it would be a ford cobra. Hands down.

But for everyday driving I'll keep my European masterpiece

I own 2 Chevies. I've got a 92 corsica that looks awful, is beaten up beyond belief but still does 90 like a champ. I've also got a 94 silverado with about 216k miles on it. Still runs great. It has also been very abused... very. I've had all 4 wheels off the ground in that truck ;D The Chevy 350 is an amazing engine! It got hit by a snowplow but my steel bumper handled that well.

I know nothing about the newer Chevy vehicles but I do know that their older ones can take more than their share of abuse!

I'd rather push a Ford than drive a Holden.

I live in a former GM town. The plant closed a few years ago and caused mass chaos and social uprising. I, however, HATE gm products. I had a Crapalier that sucked gas like no other and the digital dash was unreadable. I had a Sunfire, which was even worse. It rode like , the electrical system was a nightmare. The dual exhaust was expensive to replace. The paint chipped off. The headlights stopped working. The windshield wipers stopped working. The wheel bearings were expensive to replace, the tires were more expensive to replace because it was a "sporty" car, and the transmission went out all by the time the car was 8 years old with about 120000 miles on it. My husband had a Geo with approximately 80 hp and the tires had to be taken off to get it up on jacks to do an oil change.

I LOVE my Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. It's at 165000 and it's 12 years old. There's no rust and it has an awesome ride. There's a ton of options that a lot of cars still don't come with. It's all chromy and shiny and it has POWER. There's a V8 in it and there's nothing like hitting the gas and creaming a car that thought they were gonna cut you off.

We also have a Ford Escape. It's an '09 with 55000 miles on it. Nice, but not as nice of a ride, the seats are hard, and it's not as roomy. It's also a 4 cyl, which is horrible but at the time we were both driving around 75-100 miles/day to work so we did it for gas mileage.

The most important thing to me is a the toys on the inside. I need an MP3 port and USB slot or 2. Who cares about cd's or cassettes, but I need a good sound system. I have wood grain in my Jeep and a shiny piano black trim in the ford. The toys and look of all GM cars leave a lot to be desired for me. Fords don't offer the power of my Jeep (I like to say it's for hauling the boat, but it really isn't). Chevy doesn't have the look I want. I don't care for the Dodge brand and Chrysler doesn't make SUV's. I'd 100% go for another Jeep. Love love love the new body style.

Saw a yellow Dodge Viper convertible today... not a common sight in this neck of the woods. My late husband put 300k+ miles on a Ford F150. I'll stick with my Toyota 4Runner though... at least until I get a Toyota FJ Cruiser.

In my opinion, Cherokees have l no room in them, especially the new ones. But that's probably because when I think SUV, I think excursion or suburban. Lol

Sedan wise, I wouldn't trade my A8 for anything. Love the way it rides, the way it handles, and the power behind it (4.2L V8). I was actually looking into a Q7 and really like that model too.

What model do you have? I've always heard they're not too reliable past 5-6 years old.

Nice! I think the reliability has Improved in recent years in 2010 JD power gave the Jetta a 2 out of 5 for dependability.

Their aggressive marketing campaign in the past 5 years has really made them a bigger player in the US market.

Same goes for AudI (made by VW).

Just as long as nobody drives a ranger rover or jaguar... Too unreliable and high maintenance.

Buddy of mine says stay away from Jetta automatic transmission. He's a VW only tech. Says the standards don't have any trouble at all.

I'll reaffirm my vote for Dodge. Not my picture, but my local county police new cars. Told my brother, who works for them, if I got pulled over by one of these I couldn't be mad.....I'd have to thank the officer for giving me the honor of being pulled by such an amazing beast of a car LOL.

For me it depends on the era. 70s and older they are all great. However I have a soft spot for GM products. I voted chevy but at the moment I have one chevy and three fords. I take things for the model and not really the brand. That being said I don't ever want to own a chrysler product from about the K car on. They look good but when it comes time to make them they let the accountants run wild with cost cutting. Since high school I have worked in the automotive industry and I have been unimpressed with chrysler products. Chevy trucks for me all the way. I wouldn't trust a dodge truck especially an automatic and ford trucks ride like bricks. I do like ford cars. I give them credit for keeping the crown vic alive for so long. Nobody else was making a full size full frame car for a long time. I wouldn't want an 03+ tho because they are strut cars. The best cars I can think of are old buicks and pontiacs. Riverias and catalinas. don't forget the trans am. I wish they brought that back instead of the camaro. In my opinion the trans am of any year looks better than the camaro except for 79-81 I hate that t/a nose. I like the new dodge challenger for it's looks but I wouldn't want to live with it. Having a family if I had a choice and no budget I would get a MaseratI Quattroporte.
