Do You Use Tapatalk or the FishLore App?

To access the fishlore forum, do you use the tapatalk app or the fishlore app? The fishlore app is just a branded version of the tapatalk app.

If you do, have you tried using just the mobile version of the site on your phone's browser since our latest upgrade? The mobile version of the site is better than the tapatalk and fishlore app in my opinion. The mobile browser version has full forum functionality whereas the tapatalk and fishlore apps do not.

The main reason I'm curious about this is because I'm thinking about stopping support for tapatalk and the fishlore app. There are several reasons for this but mainly tapatalk is the culprit for some of the speed issues I'm seeing on the server. And with the mobile version of the site working fine, tapatalk is not really needed any longer. It's one less thing I'd have to maintain. And it is a pain to keep it updated.

 

I mainly use my PS4 browser however the only way i'm able to upload photos is via the fishlore app.

 

I use both my phone and desktop browser. I used to use the app in order to get notifications, but that was the only way I used it. The browser looks far better and even though I got notifications on my phone from the app, they would never actually show up in the app for me to see. Notifications randomly stopped coming to me from the app, but now I'm able to get them from my browser instead. If removing Tapatalk speeds the site up, I'm happy! I've heard others mention using Tapatalk though.

 

The only thing about the apI like is photos from the post show up on main screen. But I don't like the app. Mobile browser is easy to use.

Have you tried to use the mobile app to upload photos since we upgraded? That should be resolved with this new version of the forum.

 

I don’t even know that there was an app! Or what tapatalk is. I’ve never even seen the desktop version either. lol mobile browsers for the win!

I tried the app and disliked it. Its not the full forum like with the Mobil browser.

Yeah I had the app installed so when I even tried to go in through google it brought me to the app. Through the browser you have all of the emojis and stuff where the app did not. I didn't care for the app anyway so now its gone.

 

I use the Fishlore app when I access the site from my phone, because I always have a ton of stuff open on my phone's web app and its one less thing I have to deal with. But I'm not attached to the Fishlore app, so I won't be heart broken if you drop it.

 

Exclusively desktop. It would be nice if the app was kept around.

 

I almost exclusively use the fishlore app! I only have time to keep up with this stuff when I'm on the train or waiting around somewhere... the mobile site is a huge pain in my current phone configuration.

I didnt even know there was an app. I just use mobile browser and added it to my homescreen on my phone.
