Do You Use Activated Carbon Or Not?

Seems like a lot of aquarists don't bother to use activated carbon. Do you use it or not?

Not for planted tanks. If my tanks weren’t planted, I’d use it.

I use and highly recommend Fluval Zeo Carb packs in my planted tanks.
They do contain carbon.

Yes and No, I use it under certain situations like helping to cleanup medications after treatment is done with. Normally I don't use it at all.

I use it in all our aquariums and they are all very planted. But I use Seachem supplements that are absorbed so quickly by the plants that there is only around 15-20% loss. A fair tradeoff in my mind.

Never used carbon in my life but I do keep a small bag of it just in case. I want my tannin water to stay as dark as it can for as long as it can lol
