I have just one right now and love it. I'm interested in getting a few more but I want to avoid having a snail explosion! Any advice or input greatly appreciated!

Great! Can they be fed to fish?

My fish don't eat the eggs, I've had some fall in the water before and nobody paid them any attention. They're kind of crunchy unlike fish eggs.

But yes, as Anders said they lay their eggs above water so if you don't want babies just pull them down.

It's the one snail you CAN control the population of... well, nerites too but those eggs are NOT easily removed.

Nerites can only hatch eggs in brackish water though, right?
