Do Java Ferns on Driftwood need substrate ? Question

    If it's already growing on driftwood then it doesn't really need substrate. It's a low demand plant, but you might want to dose the water with a liquid fertilizer to make sure it's getting everything it needs.

    Nope. Just leave it alone and it will grow by itself. Its roots only grow onto the driftwood, it's a very low demanding plant.
