today I added Furan2 from API, and raised the Salinity to 5ppt. Will see if he improves.

12hrs-ish after treatment... swordtail has appetite and now wants to swim again! Discoloration still there ... without improvements... will finish the whole Furan2 course next and report afterwards.

The salt and fresh water should be all you need .
Finish the furan properly but then jus increase water changes .
Nice RREA swordtail ..

Nice RREA swordtail ..
Today on 3rd dose of Furan, tomorrow last dose.
also keeping salinity 3-4 parts per thousand.
After tomorrow, I will drop the salinity back to 2ppt, then in a few days down back to 1 ppt and back to clear.... hopefully everyone is ok...
at current salinity, some plants are turning yellow (minor), but this was totally expected..

5 days since, my Furan dose is over, and I am happy to say my Swordtail is active and swimming and participating in his swordtail gang activities again!
In the end I did this:
I dosed with API Furan 2
and had Aquarium Salts at 3ppm
after the Furan instructions ended.
I did daily 20% water change. (while keeping salt at 3ppm)
the water is still 'tinted yellow' from furan today, but I have a tank of happy Tiger Barbs and Swordtails, and I am more than happy.
