Do I need to replace this heater?

imyourhuckleberry

I can’t even tell if this is a crack, but I just noticed it after a water change (had it turned off when I changed it). The outside feels fine but it just looks a little odd. Am I over thinking this?

Broggy

I would too, if water gets in it, it might electrocute the fish and you. I don't know that as a fact, but it won't be fun if you or the fish get shocked.

I’d probably vote for no electrocutions. Thanks.

Heaters are cheep and even the most expesive heaters have cheep parts installed. You should just toss it to be safe.
