Do I Need A Heater For My Tank?

I live in Hawaii and I don’t use heaters. Since summer is coming around, it should be fine, unless the hot place you live is a desert where it gets freezing at night.

Depends on what your mean ambient temperature is??? Guppies need to be between 70 - 80F & neons between 68 - 80F a good common temp for both would be around 77F so if your water maintains that you won't need a heater.

Agree with @DoubleDutch above any temperature changes will follow a normal daily cycle & your fish will be used to it so if your daytime temp is around the 80F mark you won't need a heater.

Larger tanks also aren't prone to large swings in water quality, including temperature changes.
