Do I Have Too Many Decorations.

I have a 29 gallon tank with a few live plants 3 African dwarf frogs, 3 nerite snails, a dozen ghost shrimp, and I’m acclimating a new betta fish in the specimen container to eventually join the rest of the tank.(I had a tragic incident between Rocket my betta of almost 2 years and the intake filter. I’ve now covered it with aquarium sponge at the suggestion of the fish store clerk.)

This is my first tank over 10 gallon and I’m not quite sure how much decoration is too much. I tried to put a mixture of live plants and silk so everyone had ample places to hide if they wanted to. I’m not sure if I overdid it though, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I can tell you from experience, I have the same green/purple plastic plant on the right and it will tear up your betta’s fins. Probably most of the colored ones on the right will. The ones on the left are softer (I also have the yellow one!) and the betta should love them. If nothing else, perhaps separate them so he can move in a out of the hard ones easier.

Thanks, I had them a little more spread out before my previous betta got caught on the intake filter the other day, after that I kind of surrounded the intake with them until I could get to the store to get something to cover it so my frogs didn’t suffer the same fate. I’ll definitely spread them out until I replace them with more silk and live plants.
