Do I have the beginning of Ich?

I stocked my tank last Thursday and until today everyone looked fine. This morning during feeding I noticed my red wag platy flashing. I saw one other platy do this once, but hasn't since. Even watching the red wag now I see him still flashing. Should I assume this is the start of ich and start raising my temp? Or what are medication options when I've got shrimp and cories in the tank? Could I just QT these two platies or is it contagious enough that I will already have to treat the whole tank? The tank is fully cycled , water temp is 77F, PH is 8.2, ammonia is 0, nitrite is 0, nitrate is 5, GH/KH is 12. Closer inspection of the red wag's head kinda looks white near the gills or maybe he's rubbed his scales off there. Other than the flashing he doesn't seem to be in any distress, he moves around fine and eats fine. All of my platie's poos are super long, like their whole body length, is that normal for them or do I have a parasite too?

EDIT: I've looked around and it seems Seachem Paraguard would be a good option. The comments say they've used it in their tanks with inverts and scaleless fish. Is this product broad spectrum enough to take care of any ich or parasites I potentially have? One reviewer said to use it at half dose with inverts and scaleless fish, has anyone done this?

Is the waste a different color than normal? If not, it's probably not a parasite. Yes, platies have a lot of waste and will do that on a regular basis, one of the main reasons I don't have any.

Do they seem to have white spots on them?

I wouldn't personally risk the paraguard without moving your shrimp. Per Seachem, they do not market it as being safe for inverts. Some people have had problems, some haven't. first question on the FAQ with them.

The poop is not white or clear, it's the same color as the food I feed them. I knew they were poop machines which is why I wasn't too concerned about that. Other than the white-ish on the red wag's head I see no other spots. I'm honestly not even sure how many of my RCS I have left, I've only seen one out and about for the last week and a half. If Paraguard is safe for scaleless fish then I won't be too concerned. I witnessed that other platy flashing momentarily once again, so I do believe something is up. I'm a little nervous to rely only on heat treatment since I don't want things to get out of control, especially if this turns out to not be ich. Since I don't have any meds on me atm I will start to raise the temp though.

Maybe post some pics if you can? My knowledge on fish disease stops at ich but others may see something you didn't
Definitely would suggest trying to diagnose before adding meds.

Well now that I've read the Fishlore info on Ich I will stick with just the heat treatment, but will buy a bottle of Paraguard to use just in case and in my QT tank. I have KuhlI loaches coming this week so I will treat them with it while they are in QT. Since I'm still not entirely sure if it's even ich I think it would be a good idea to have that bottle on hand. Can Platies, Swordtails, Aeneus cories, RCS, and Honey Gourami tolerate up to 86F? How quickly can I turn up the heat? I've only raised it 2 degrees since posting hours ago.

Here is the best photo I could get of him. He keeps hiding from my camera. The spot itself is shiny like silver scales and is on the other side of his head as well. It was not present when I first got him last Thursday. I assume this is from all the scratching. So far no one else in the tank has any white spots anywhere other than this. And only those two platies have been flashing. I haven't seen either of them doing it for a few hours though. Maybe they are just annoyed and still getting used to things? Should I add some stress coat and see if that clears it up?

I took another picture with a different camera, it's still not the best but you can see that shiny silver spot really well. It seems worse on this side. He is still flashing, I saw him doing it recently again.
UPDATE: Just witnessed one of my swordtails flashing now, ugh. I am still raising temp slowly to 86, something is going on for sure.

Honestly, I'm not sure what that is, but from my old experiences with ich, it doesn't look anything like ich, especially with it being shiny. Ich really looks more like little white dots on the fish. I'd love for someone with more experience in platties to weigh in on this, since as I said, limited experience with them and fish diseases.

Yeah I'd love some other opinions, it's really weird. Not sure who all the disease gurus are here lol. I hope it isn't flukes.

Really want some other's opinions as to what's going on please! It's been over 24 hours after raising the temp to 86F and adding some stress coat and so far I have seen only the red wag flashing, and a lot less than he was doing. His scales are still rubbed off in those spots.
