Do I Add Ammonia Every Day For Fishless Cycle?

Some background.
I have a 60l freshwater planted tank which crashed while I was on holiday. I have started cycling with ammonia and dosed to 4ppm yesterday.
Did API test today and ammonia read 1ppm. Do I wait for it to drop to almost 0ppm to add more ammonia or add it now?

Either or, some say when it drops below 2 ppm, other will say when it hits 0. I added more when it hit 0 but it's totally up to you.

Is it processing 3 ppm ammonia into nitrates? If so, I would just do a large water change and add fish

I would check Nitrite and Nitrate first, as Valerie said if Nitrate is present all u may need is a water change. As for your actual question my personal experience has been to wait for 0 then add more ammonia.

I dosed to 3ppm last night and this evening tested again.
I had:
Ammonia 1ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 5ppm

I hope I am almost there.

Personally, I'd just do a large water change and add some fish. You're processing 2 ppm ammonia and I would assume that's more than enough to start adding some fish
