Hello everyone, in my planted 29 gallon I am overrun with pond snails and rams horn snails and i'm tired looking at them. I want to get 2 or 3 assassin snails to help me fight them off, but I have ghost and amano shrimp. Will the assasain snail target them? also what about baby fish?, Thanks!

They are fond of eating anything small and weak, whether it be small fish or shrimp, and will go after them if there are no other food sources available, or if the prey looks sickly. It seems like they will be kept well fed with the amount of other snails you have for them to eat, but there’s no telling whether or not the assassins will still have a taste for shrimp.

I have kept assassin snails and amano shrimp together for a little over a year now. I haven't lost any shrimp to the snails that I can tell.

I have 3 in my 5.5 with cherry shrimp. Honestly have no idea where they came from and didn't even know what they were for a while, but they leave the shrimp alone. They tend to eat whatever the shrimp eat and I throw 2 or 3 MTSs for them every once in a while.

I think your shrimp will be fine.
