I've decided on getting a couple RCS in my 8 gallon fry tank, but I've heard that they need caves to moult in. The footprint of this tank is moderate and already occupied by a humongous sponge filter. So I was thinking if there are any ways to craft small caves from easily available materials that also look Good? I watched a few YouTube videos, but nothing seemed impressive enough.

From my experience they don't necessarily need caves to moult in, just hiding places for after they moult. After moulting, many shrimp may feel vulnerable and want somewhere to hide.

I don't know. My marbled crayfish molted yesterday and he was floating at the top of the water, anchored to a rock, to dry himself out and harden the shell. It's true that crustaceans will attack newly molted tankmates because of their soft shell.
