DIY light risers

Hi all,

Just noticed some bba developing on my driftwood. I cut the lights to 6hrs a day. And decided to raise the light as well. Found some styrofoam, cut them to the same sizes, cut a little piece out of the middle to hold the light in. Not pretty but hey it works lol.

Got rid of some dying jf as well. I got some dwarf sag, more jf, and red tiger lotus coming. Now I'm unsure of the lotus, read some horror stories about how they outcompete other plants like jf...

I was looking for something like this... How is the foam attached to your tank?

It's taped to the outside rim with foil (HVAC) tape. Just curl the tape so it can be 2 sided, stick to the length of the foam and to the rim. It sticks really well, quiet sturdy too!

Tysm!

This gave me a few good ideas thanks for sharing. Also if you paint the foam black it will look better just a thought.
