Diy Freshwater Sump

AND is it possible (and if I'm feeling really ambishious) to have 2 overflows drain into one larger pipe, then into the sump? Say 2 half inch drain into one 1" pipe.

I have two overflows on my sump, but they just lead into separate filter socks. Each one splits and leads to two filter socks, four in total.

How do you have the overflows attached to the sump? Does it just hang loose and pours in or what?

The water runs through pvc and pours into my filter socks.

 

Another question. Where the heck do I find the filter sponges? I don't even know where to look. I know the filter floss cheat but I want something more porous first.

This is THE foam. A lot of people use it on canisters and sumps because of how well it cleans. Get a sheet of 10ppi, 20ppi, and 30ppi. The 30ppI is the finest, with the 10 ppI foam being coarse. Use the foam after the filter socks to clean up what they missed.
