Diy Decor - Pvc

Hello,
I’m wanting to make some PVC pipe decor for my Clown Loaches and I saw a video that was really awesome. I wanted to ask the forum though if some stuff I saw on there was safe.
1) He used acrylic paint
2) He used a hot-glue gun
—Are both of those things safe to use in my DIY job, then add it into my tank?

A separate question, I saw the pinned video of the planted tank—that was AWESOME!
I was wondering if you’re able to have a large tank of Clown Loaches in a tank carpeted with live plants and rocks like that. I plan in about 1 1/2 - 2 years doing a 100 gallon or so tank with primarily lots of Clown Loaches and I would love for it to look like that.
Thanks!

Latexed based acrylics are generally considered fish tank safe. Hot glue is too. The regular pvc glue is drinking water safe so fish safe as well.

Thanks for your reply.
Do you know if I can do Clown Loaches in a planted tank like the one in the pinned video where there is a nice carpet on the entire bottom?
