I just setup another DIY in my main tank (still experimenting) and have read that people disconnect there DIY CO2 at night

Stupid question but how do you do that? The DIY CO2 do not have a valve to shut off

I am worried as when I go to sleep and it is running I don't want all my fish to be dead the next morning from co2 overload

They probably just put the end into a bucket with water and out of the tank.

I personally do not remove my DIY CO2 hose from the tank. That would be too much of a hassle.

Do you have a bubbler running then overnight?
I have read that some run a bubbler and some don't...so not sure which way to go

Normally I do. Right now I don't since I keep forgetting to change out bottles. I think I need to put the heater back on in the tank the bottles are sitting in (2.5 gallon - if area is too cold, the reaction might not happen).
