Diy Aquarium Co2 Or Api Co2 Booster?

I'm looking to set up a new planted tank. I want to use Co2 to aid in the growth of my plants. I don't have the money right now to buy a full system. I can, however, make a diy system with citric acid and baking soda. Is this a better option than the API Co2 booster.

Yup I create my own CO2 system with yeast and sugar. My plant grow very well.

I use the yeast and sugar method in my lightly planted 2.5 gallon. I've seen huge growth since I started. I recommend it. For larger systems it won't do as much good though.

So for a 20 gallon, should I get the diy system or the liquid Co2

I'd do the DIY system to try it out. Use it for a few months, and if you get results, buy the liquid system for much better results. A DIY system won't replace a professional setup, but sometimes it can give you an idea of what to expect if you buy a professional setup.

I've got a DIY System in my 75. I use yeast and sugar. 6 2 liter bottles takes up a lot of room under my tank, but its inexpensive and well worth it.
