I want to make a glass aquarium to upgrade one of my tanks that is going to become way too small for the fish that are in it ( I feel it already is, personally). The tank they in now is a 48 gallon Breeder tank, and the fish inside consist of 1- Comet goldfish, 2- Golden channel catfish and 1- Common (sailfin) Plecostomus; all will be going into a indoor pond on my enclosed back porch ( pond is not finished yet so I was going to make them a new tank so I could upgrade them for the time being; the new tank I am planning is going to 72”L x 24”W(D) x 30”H ( Comet is currently 6 in., channel catfish are 7-8in., and the Pleco is about 5 - 6in.long). Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated; will be moving them soon!

I think it would be more cost effective and easier, since its temporary, to use an above ground kiddie pool.

I can’t put a filter on a kiddie pool and I will reuse the tank!
