Dividing sand and gravel

I have an established tank with gravel and I wanted to add some sand. I am looking to remove 1/2 - 1/3 of the gravel and put in BDBS. The problem is I want some type of divider to keep them seperate. I'm struggling to find any tips on what to use to keep the sand and gravel mixing. Any ideas?

Where would I find someone who cuts glass like that? It wouldn't be a straight line either so I'm not sure glass would work. What about using a cut up page protector that's folded?

I used a sheet protector. And so far so good.

I got a sheet protector that was acid free just in case.

Thanks, yours looks good too. Did you put the divider and sand with the water in the tank?

The tree is a root type of driftwood that's flipped upside down. I specifically found one that looks like a tree. I planted java moss on pieces of foam that I cut into shapes of a tree canopy. Here is what it looks like right now.

Is the plant on the right side of your aquarium real? What is it?

It is not real. My idea for the tank is to be half natural half unnatural.
