Could any of the "sharks" go with green tiger barbs in a 55 gallon tank?

We don't have much desire to upgrade if it can't work out so I decided to ask before we spend the money to upgrade.

Thanks for all the help !

I know nothing about these semi aggressive guys

rainbow and red tails would be fine in a 55. But just one. Their conspecific aggression is high.

Like one fish or one or the other? Sorry if that's a silly question

Go with a red tail. They look much more shark like IMO than the rainbows.

Thanks! What would you stock with green tiger barbs and a red tail in a 55?

Hmm... Good question. Any interest in cichlids? I'm kind of a cichlid guy.

    Maybe...

    12-15 tiger barbs
    1 red tail shark
    2 Bolivian rams/rainbow cichlids/ sajicas
    8 zebra loaches

Lots of options but that's what I'd do with those fish. Wood just have to see how everyone gets along and have a backup plan if it doesn't go as planned

I think that Zebra loaches are best as the only bottom dweller. They are kinda possessive

Sun loaches look kind of like sharks, and will be fine. You could do 8 of them.

We will look into all of these thank you ! We would probably have to pull the krib at that point yeah?

No, I don't think so. I have some sun and skunk loaches (they were mixed up) in my 55 with a krib and they are fine together.
