Difference between female and male guppies?

I have 3 guppies, 2 are yellow, one is cobra. I'm kinda hoping I have male and a female, but I can't tell the difference.

They all look like males to me, but better pictures from the side would help

Here's how to tell on livebearers-

This is a male, see how his analfin is straight?

This is a female analfin, see how it's fanned and triangular?
Livebearers should be kept in a 1male-2female ratio, or all females/all males.

Oh ok thanks

Mine are all males

From the pictures they all look male. Watch for aggression though, since you have a smaller number of males and no female "distractions" for them to mate with

Yes please do, my male mollies always chase each other... They pair off(I have four) and just chase each other around.

Ok, I'm going to my lfs soon, I'll get a female (or try)

My guppies do chase each other around

How many males do you have? I suggest not getting any females since you need two times the number of makes you have and you'll be overrun in no time. I'd wait for more replies, but my mollies don't do damage to each other, I imagine yours are fine unless you've seen damage.

I would think you'll need 5 females with 3 males, as need a higher female to male ratio. Xx

I would not suggest getting females, they will over-run your tank with guppies quickly. Do you have any other Fish in the tank? If so, what?
IMO you should up the number of males to 5-7

Yes, don't add females unless you're ready to deal with fry. Adding males is unnecessary if you're not seeing aggression.

More males simply spreads out the aggression so that no particular one is getting nipped at all the time.

I don't think I made it clear in my other most, I meant I think you'll be ok without anymore. Maybe up the number of males a bit like suggested.

Ok

I did have 2 other guppies I got from a pet store, they died right after I got them. Pet store sold me sick fish! Their tails lost their color, and they died. I did quarantine them when I saw their tails.

Did you quarantine them before adding to your main tank?

They didn't look sick when I got them

I quarantined them when their tails were disappearing

All my fish are alive, it was about a week ago

Unfortunately if the disease was contagious, your original fish are at risk. But- the damage is already done.

Anyway, it's always a good idea to QT new fish, regardless if they look sick or not. You never know what they could introduce into your aquarium

I have 3 guppies, 2 yellow and one cobra, I want them to be even, so I'll get one more cobra guppy. Do you guys have any suggestions for a different type of guppy?

Do they get along with the others? Do you know how expensive they normally are?

They look awesome

I don't know how expensive they usually are, but I might see some today. I think they where max $5? I can't remember, it might have been less. And yeah, if I got a guppy I'd go with them.

If you really want black moscows they are pretty rare so be prepared to pay, they aren't your typical "run of the mill" guppy mongrels. I have never seen them in stores. I think the only way to get them is through Aquabid from a breeder, where a trio can run anywhere from $10 to over $50 depending on the breeder and strain.

EDIT: oh and plus shipping, which usually costs $10-15.
