Did my Ghost Shrimp come back to life?

Hello!

I have a quick question regarding a weird thing that happened with my mom's new ghost shrimp. I got it on the 25th.
Last Thursday, I could've sworn it died, it turned white and was upside down, I'll admit I was a tad hesitant on taking it out.
But earlier we noticed it moved, and later it was swimming around like normal.

So, was I wrong in thinking it was dead? Or... I don't know I'm just really confused lol.

That was your shrimp in the middle of molting. Perfectly normal behavior.

Yeah it molted. They can die during that process because it's pretty stressful for them. After they molt, they are extremely vulnerable to attack until a new shell forms and hardens.

Why do you think they call them Ghost Shrimp? Seriously, it molted. If nothing gets to it, it should be fine.

They're called Ghost shrimp because they are so transparent.
