Danio And Glo Fish Question

hello. I am a total beginner but I have 3 neon tetras. One GLO fish, 2 danios and 2 black tetras. I'm not sure which is female or male but I did purchase the GLO fish first then the danios and the GLO fish keeps picking and chasing after my Danios. Today one of the danios looks a little fatter than before not sure if it is prego or if I should just get rid of my aggressive GLO fish. Any suggestions?

their are schooling fish which require 6+ of each, how many gallons is you tank?

sometimes fish will be aggressive when they arnt in schools.

it also might be establishing a pecking order.

Glo fish danios or tetras?
What is the tank size?
Neon tetras and black skirt tetras need to be in schools of at least 6.
It could be bloated or gravid. Pictures will help.

I have a 10 gallon tank but before the GLO fish was picking on my 3 neon tetras now it's moved onto my danios. Also how can I tell which sex my fish are?

It is a GLO fish Danio I believe and in a 10 gal tank and I will post a pic asap. Would it be too crowded if I put that many fish in a 10 gallon?

as FishFish221 stated , they require a 20 gallon minimum.

never trust petsmart employees or any other large chain(most of the time anyways). Alot of times they just want to make a quick dollar and will sell you anything.

Removing any fish isn't going to lower their minimum tank size. The fish you have need the swimming space of a 20 gallon provides.

The reason the glo fish is picking on the other fish is because they are better in a school. I had the same issue when I started. Listened to a pet store clerk, had 3 glofish in a 5 gallon.

The best thing to do is to do some research. Figure out what kind of fish can go in a 10 gallon tank. I would take the fish you bought back if you can. And get some fish that work in your tank. But don't just go in without doing some homework. Pick ones you know will do well in 10 gallons.

Also you need to be sure you have done research on the nitrogen cycle. It is important for your tank to be healthy. You will have sick and dying fish without a properly cycled tank.

Good luck!
