Damaged Mouth

Hey I introduced two new discus in my tank it's been two weeks , one of the discus has scars around it's mouth.. not sure whether it's due to pecking or some other infection .. all the discus seem to be fine tho

I know nothing about discus but are you sure it’s scarred? It looks red like an infection.

Did the fish look like this when you got it?

Best bet is to keep the water extremely clean. Try 50% daily

I agree. Water changes treated with Prime. Please try to get a liquid test kit. You can also take some of your water to a LFS to have tested.

 

If you don’t know your water parameters then how do you know your tank is s cycled? Are you aware of the nitrogen cycle? How long have you had the tank? If not cycled then your fish are being poisoned. Please read up on the nitrogen cycle...Aquarium Nitrogen Cycle

Have had the tank for a year now , two of my discus pair have laid eggs 3rce so far , so probably it's cycled, the damage in one side of the fish has healed a bit but it's still preaent
