So I got 3 dalmation mollys, 1 of them keeps chasing the other 2 , what should I do ?
Chances are you got a male.
Look up the differences between male and fenales, and look at their analfins.
You can separate them for now if you would like, sometimes males are very aggressive in tanks and can't be kept.
If you don't like it chasing the others, and it seems stressful, the best thing would be to return it and get a female if you wish.
Just know, you should be expecting babies. These fish breed a lot, and chances are if you have females they're already pregnant.
Also, be prepared to be amazed/annoyed at how much these things eat/beg for food lol
Yes there is 1 male and 2 females, the male keeps chasing them and now his picking on the rosy barbs, but not the tetra
Awww I'm so excited for you!Haha yeah they always beg for food and the female molly had fry about 10 days ago, i'm raising 4 in a 10 gallon tank
I had a lyretail Dalmatian in a tank by himself and a sailfin black mollie in my community tank for several months. Just this week I put 2 female Dalmatian mollies with the lyretail. He’s chasing them but the aggression is spread out because there are 2 of them. Plus the tank is heavily planted so there are places to hide.
You are witnessing normal behavior. Adding 1 more female will lessen/spread out the aggression.
