Cycling with tss plus?

I'm doing a fishless cycle and am using tss plus start to Jumpstart my cycle. I used prime and waited 24 hours, adding ammonia to 1ppm, and then let the filter and heater on. It's been a week and I think my readings are 0.25 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and 0 nitrate, is this okay? I don't know if the cycle is working and if its not then what can I do?

how big is your tank and what do you plan on putting in? In my 20 I have 2 young pearl gouramis and used tss plus without any problem.

CindiL wrote a good post about using TSS+ during cycling. It helped me when I cycled my 20g. Check it out:

thanks!! seems like I have to dose ammonia to 1ppm and wait 24 hours to see if it'll go down to 0 and something changes

Im pretty sure the ammonia/nitrite readings will be directly proportional so a change in one means a change in the other by definition so a reading of .25 ammonia and 0 nitrite after adding 1 ppm ammonia is a little wierd or am I reading this wrong

If you just have one fish I would do a water change and add him and just watch the parameters and do water changes as needed.
