Anybody have any experience with cycling with Ammonium Chloride instead of liquid Ammonia? I've read it's nearly identical.
From what I heard it doesn't really work the same way as pure ammonia.

Pure ammonia (NH3) is not liquid but gas. Ammonium Chloride (NH4Cl) is a white crystalline powder. Ammonium Hydroxide (NH4OH) is liquid and is the one most likely used in cycling. I don't see an issue using ammonium chloride as it is also used as a fertilizer and in bread making as a nutritive media for the yeast and other microorganisms.
