Cycling Question

montanafish88

Hello Iam 12 days in on a 10 gallon fishless cycle. On day 3 I got the ammonia up to 4 ppm & today day 12 ammo 0.25 & nitrite 0.25 - 0.50 ppm. Should I redose the ammonia tonight? Very Happy to see some nitrites

Sounds like things are going well! Yes, it might be a good idea to get the ammonia up around 1 ppm while you monitor the nitrite level. The presence of nitrite indicates your ammonia-eating bacteria are doing their thing, so you want to keep them fed and encourage them to develop a stable colony.

Thank you for doing a fishless cycle.

Keep your ammonia at 1-2 ppm until you can dose ammonia up to that, and in 24 hours it's at 0. Bacteria shouldn't go more than 24 hours without a source of ammonia.
