Cycling Aquarium

Morning everyone, I have had a fish tank for a few months and it has not gone so well. The tank is still not cycled and I have 5 fish remaining with a very cloudy tank. My question here is where can I get media from a cycled aquarium? If you have any ideas, or know of any places it would be greatly appreciated.

Local fish store maybe or a friend that keeps fish

It is nearly impossible for a tank in service containing fish for several months not to be cycled. I suspect that your problem is either overcrowding or overfeeding.

Do you have a test kit to test for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate? If not, you need one. If you do have one, what are your test readings?

How big is the tank?

What fish are you keeping and how big are they?

What do you feed? How often? How much?

A couple of other questions:
Do you have a filter? What brand and size?
Does the tank have substrate? Gravel, sand, dirt?
Does the tank have live plants?

I seriously doubt that getting biomedia from another tank will solve your problem, but it cannot hurt. The more you can tell us about your tank, the more likely we will be able to help.

Maybe you're over-cleaning something, like changing 100% of water, cleaning the filter too often/in chlorinated water, or using chlorinated water without dechlorinator?
