Cycled tank and adding new plants

Twan11

Hey all! I got a 10 gallon tank with standard gravel substrate. Been up and running for 2/3 years now and looking to dive (no pun intended!) into adding plants. Wondering what’s best for the gravel and easiest to care for as a beginner? I got a couple serpea tetras and a couple glow fish tetras as well. Also when I get the plants I’m going to grab a couple cherry shrimp and maybe a Cory.

Is it a tall or a long? I wouldn't add a cory. Cories are best kept in groups of 6 to 8. You could add chili rasboras. They look pretty cool

If you are a beginner with plants why not stick with some hardy, easy to care for plants like anubias and java fern? They don’t need planting in the gravel so just attach them to wood and rocks and leave them to it.

It’s a standard 10 gallon kit. Not a long
