Cycle Snail Breeding Tank?

    Hey guys!

I've been trying to breed my Apple Snails recently because they're breeding like, well, Rabbit snails, so I've had an abundance of egg clutches. I'd like to continue to hatch and raise the babies, but want to move them to their own tank. Recently I bought a 5 gallon TopFin setup to keep things simple and raise the babies. My question is, do I need to cycle a tank that will only have snails? I don't plan on keeping anything other than snails in this setup, so don't want to cycle it if I don't need to. Thanks guys!

Yep you need to cycle it. Snails produce ammonia and ammnonia is bad for snails just like fish.

    Will do!

I'll borrow some bio media from my cycled tank. I'll see if I can find some nice pure ammonia.
