Okay... so new to this stuff. I picked up 2 mysteries and 2 nirites to help with algae and because they're dang cute. I read that it's important to provide cuttlebone so they get the calcium they need to keep their shells happy. So, I bought 2 cuttlebones on Amazon. They're huge in comparison to the tank. Do I put the whole thing in there? Or do I cut off a piece and sink it?

Thanks!
B

You can break a piece off and put it in your filter to let it get the flow over it from your filter or break a piece off and let it float till it sinks..I still have a piece i bought over a year ago and have only used 1/2 of it. I don't currently have mystery snails ( i know bad me ) . But thats how i researched how to use it.
