How does it run?

Surprisingly very strong surface agitation in 10g. I had to turn off, it was blowing the betta around.

I'll get a video tomorrow.

It came w/ loose carbon that can be replaced. I may put bio media in there.
For a small filter it packs a punch. It may be too much for a 5g, but I'll test tomorrow.

Only $16.99.

Wow that's pretty cool. I always liked the idea of a spray bar but never found a filter I liked that had one.

Video of the Cascade 300 in action on a 10 gallon tank using optional spray bar.

wow, that's impressive in my opinion. Just does what it should ha ha. Not cheap.
Not to change the subject but are those all low light plants? Looks like a nice betta tank set up I like it.

That tank has ludwiga, anubis, jungle val, and a lilly bulb. I've been throwing my 55 gallon plant trimmings in it randomly. Everything but the lily is low light. I do run a grow light on it for about 5 hours a day.

I have this in my 7.5, but without the spray bar. I need to find a way to reduce the flow as my poor betta gets tossed a bit.

Point it at the wall nearest the spraybar. I moved filter to 5.5g and pointed bar to wall an inch near it. Works great, zero turbulence.

Thanks. Mine didn't come with that attachment so I would have to order it. I have an old I25 that I put in there (rated for 6.6g) that is doing a fantastic job right now. But would like to use the cascade as I like to use my own media in it. I am very impressed with the cascades ability and quietness. If it weren't for the betta I would use it.

Really, no spraybar? I have the other attachment, but have yet to try it.

Yeah, they are sending the spray bar to me. The other attachment does not spread the water out enough, so it is the equivalent of turning a minI hose on in the tank. It actually provides a really nice flow for fish that like the current, and it did an amazing job of circulating the water and thus did great on the filtration. however the betta would get blow around the tank anytime he got near the stream and since I am using sand it also caused the sand to slowly blow out of the area where the water was hitting the wall.

Oh boy, can't have that. Glad I used the bar. Good of them to send you a replacement.
