I had to share this story, it’s just so cute but only a true guppy lover will appreciate it.
I wanted to add some colour to my tank, so after a discussion with the guy at my local aquarium I brought a small school of neon tetras.
So I’ve got the plastic bag in the tank to match the temperature, and the guppies swarm around it. I figure they’re just curious, so I leave them there while I go put some other things away.
I come back, and start adding tank water to the bag. I’ve found the easiest way to do this is to untie the bag, and just dunk the bag to let a little water in.
On the first dunk, three guppies got in the bag.
Second dunk, another two get in the bag.
Third dunk, one guppy made its way out of the bag… but two more got in.
By the time I had fully acclimatised the tetras, I had 9 guppies in the bag with them.
Now they’re in the tank the school of tetras is being shadowed by a gaggle of guppies.
I do believe the guppy are a little curious.
Are anyone elses guppies this interested in new finsh/things?
