I got a another betta about a month ago and I'm not sure if it was always there but I've noticed tiny holes in his head. Maybe about 5 or 6. He also has some missing scales which was never there before, but I believe it was from a decoration that I took out. He's not acting any different and seems healthy. He's not lethargic and he is still eating. Is this a problem? How do I fix it?

Edit: I've been researching and I've found no answers.. Please help!!!

True HITH is very rare in bettas and are most likely sensory pits/organs and is normal for bettas to have them. HITH mostly occurs in large Cichlids and I have never come across any true HITH in bettas. A picture would help.

Yeah, Id be shocked if it was HITH. Ive had bettas for 27+ years and never seen it in them. I currently have 13.

Im betting its totally normal sensory pits too and just looks off to you. Post a good pic and we can help you better.
