Do you mean the pot that the plants come in? If you do then just remove the pot & gently wash the media that was used off the roots under slow flowing cold water. If it's the green/yellow sponge type material very gently remove it form the roots & do the same washing of the roots. If the roots are really long use a pair of clean sharp scissors & trI'm the roots down to about 3" long. You can then bery the plant directly in the substrate.

What sort of plants? Do you mean stuff like Java Moss & Riccia or do you mean plants that should have roots & don't? Knowing the names of the plants you are asking about would be very helpful for me to recommend how to best deal with them.

I think you need to be more specific about what type of plants they are. If it is a moss, then you may need to tie it to a bit of driftwood or anchor it down.

Also, some plants have rhizomes, which have particular planting requirements.

Thanks for the translation Ryan. At least you know what I'm on about. I'd hate for someone to actually bury the whole plant in the substrate on my say so. The guilt would plague me.

If you can post close up pictures of the plants we can probably work out exactly what they are & make recommendations on the best way to deal with them & to care for them.
