Culling RCS-How to?

Context: 45L established breeder w/30RCS and 5 Oto’s.

When do you cull and what do you look for when culling? I’m starting with 30 so I hope the colony gets going. Do

If you aren't breeding to get really good colors, then look for deformed shrimp. If you are breeding for a very bright color then you can cull the ones with bad color.

First thing you need to understand is most of them will be clear when you first see them and some dont come to full colour until just before they mature at around 4months, so don't be in a hurry to cull anything, you can also expect to cull around 30% of the hatch, a good sign on quality shrimp are pure red legs,
