Crystal Red Shrimp And 7.5 Ph?

Derek P

What is up guys. I want to have guppies, blue neocaridina shrimp, and crystal reds in the same tank. Guppies like harder water so I was wondering what pH you think I should have my tank at. Anyone have success with breeding crystal reds at a higher pH?

7.5 should still be okay for crystals. Are you trying to breed them? How big is the tank?

I've heard they can be acclimated to higher ph over a few generations. Right off the bat, probably not a good idea if they were raised in acidic conditions. Guppies are far more adaptable than crystal shrimp though, so I'd try to keep everything right for the crystals first.

Also all your guppies will probably eat your shrimplets, so I hope you're just planning on keeping them to look good
