I'm going to be starting a CRS breedng tank but I was wondering if I could add some Neon Tetras to the tank, they're so small. I don't think they would eat the shrimp. What do you guys think? I know Otos are safe but anything else?

If you want it to be a breeding tank then you're better off with just shrimp. Even little neons will eat baby RCS.

It depends on how the tank is set up. If you have lots of hiding places for the shrimp it will work. Plants and driftwood will provide cover for the shrimp. I kept glow light tetra in a heavily planted 10 gallon tank and had tons of shrimp. The tank was all plants for the most part. It had a hair grass carpet, driftwood with moss, and taller plants in the back. Lots of hiding places.
