Criticize My Aquascape!

This is my second attempt at a planted tank. I'm slowly adding a plant or two a week because, well, it is very bare. I like this driftwood I found but I feel something is missing.

Well, don't be afraid to tell me what I did wrong.

looks better than my tank
maybe you could try moving the taller plants closer to the hardscape so there's a defined peak in your tank
looks really great. Will be even better when plants grow in

Looks good! I see wisteria, java fern, java moss, anubias and a sword plant and something floating. Java fern and anubias need the roots out of the substrate. Looks like they are but just checking. The sword should get a root tab under it. They are heavy root feeders. Wisteria never roots for me so it ends up floating.
What kind of lighting are you using?

This is exactly what I'm looking for.

Java Fern and anubias are glued to rocks.

The lights are two Finnex Stingrays 30" and 20"

I have one Val but I'm not sure how to propagate it. I tried hornwort and it died. I am looking for crypts locally without luck. It is too cold to order via mail.

Thank you everyone!

I got my crypt at Petco. They have a section of submerged pots and it was in there, not in the tubes. You might check if you have one.

Doesn't look bad at all. The plants will grow in and look amazing. I have something similar going just waiting on my s.repens to come in to carpet it.
